Review
VTech Photo Editor is a program that allows you to add effects to your digital photos. You will be able to add frames, or to place stamps over them, as well as funny distortion and kaleidoscope effects.
This photo editor is in fact a small suite of utilities. Photo Frames will let you choose a frame to put around your photo. Stamps will let you add drawings to your photos. Special Effects will let you change the shape of the photo according to several patterns. Animations will allow you to create animated effects on your picture. However, as you cannot save the image using the GIF format, the animation effect cannot be saved - you will obtain just a static image of the moving picture. Finally, Kaleidoscope effects will let you choose a shape and then the whole image will become a mosaic of tiny repetitions of the original photo. To apply any of these features, you will only need to drag the desired effect over the image.
VTech Photo Editor comes bundled with the software available for the KidiZoom cameras sold by VTech, as a part of the KidiZoom Plus PC Tools package. However, the software can also be freely downloaded from the VTech site. This package can be installed in English, Spanish and French. The program will let you overlap effects only on BMP or JPG images. |
